The first issue of Croning is almost complete and I could not be more excited about how it’s coming together. I’m eager to share what I know about Baba Yaga, a folkloric figure I’ve look to as a guide and role model for some time now. There’s also poetry by the voice of “Ask Baba Yaga” (RIP The Hairpin), original artwork, a cocktail recipe—and more! We’ve been aiming for an early December pub date, and I feel confident that we will hit that mark!
Preorders for the print edition are open now. Placing a preorder means that you’ll pay $7 instead of $9 for the zine. And it means that you’ll get a very cool Baba Yaga trading card designed just for this issue. You’ll also be helping us figure out how many copies to print, which is useful information for a small, independent publishing outfit.
